The Friends of the Waynesboro Public Library is a nonprofit organization founded in 1966 to focus attention on the library’s services and needs, and aid in the extension and improvement of these services. Funds raised by the Friends are used to purchase special library materials and fund programs for children and adults. 

Annual Dinner Meeting & Speaker
April 22, 2026 - RSVP Now

Our annual dinner meeting and speaker will take place on April 22, 2026 at Orchard Creek.  Cash bar social from 5:30-6:00 pm.  Dinner at 6:00 pm immediately followed by a brief meeting and then this year’s speaker, Corey Egbert.  Reservations and payment must be received by April 8th.   Cost is $40 per person.  Click here for reservations.  

 

Corey Egbert is a children’s illustrator and author based in Virginia.  He believes in telling imaginative, funny and touching stories that empower kids to make their world better.  He lives in Buena Vista with his wife, son, and five cats.

 

Corey’s debut author/illustrated YA graphic novel VISITATIONS, published in 2024 by Farrar, Strauss & Giroux, earned starred reviews from Kirkus, Publisher’s Weekly and Bookpage and was a Kirkus Reviews Best Book of the Year.  Other credits include Flat Stanley: The Graphic Novel, Mr. Norton’s New Hat, If Dinosaurs Could Talk for Me, among others.
