Who We Are

The Friends is an all volunteer group that directly impacts the heart of our community. When you join the Friends of the Waynesboro Public Library, you become more than just a member —you become an essential partner in the Library’s success.

Community support, whether through monetary donations, membership dues, or volunteer hours, directly funds critical programs and services that the library’s regular budget can’t cover. The Friends helps pay for the summer reading program that inspires kids to love books, provides new technology that connects our community, and supports a wide range of free events for all ages.

The Friends are a powerful advocate for the library’s future. Our members lend their voice to a group that champions the library’s value to our city council and local leaders, ensuring it remains a vibrant, well-funded resource for years to come.

Being a Friend is simple but impactful. You can volunteer for a few hours at a book sale, make a direct tax-deductible donation, or simply pay your annual dues. Every bit of support helps us build a stronger library and a more connected Waynesboro.

Join us and help write the next chapter of the Waynesboro Public Library.
